Personal Training

At Surrey Fitness we combine expert instruction with the convenience, comfort and privacy of training in your own home.

We also provide Personal Training at places of work, local parks or gyms (subject to permits and permission from the land owner).

Each session is tailored to meet your needs and designed to be fun and varied. Sessions are typically one hour long and can be held indoors or outdoors (weather permitting).

Exercises can vary from a basic level through to advanced and challenging (dependant on client’s ability).

Sessions will typically incorporate elements of mobility, flexibility, functional training, cardio and weights or body weight.

Free Consultation & 20 Minute Taster PT Session

Before launching into a programme of exercise it is important that we get to know you and vice versa.

Surrey Fitness provides a free consultation and 20 minute taster session for new Personal Training or Sports Massage Therapy clients.

This may involve discussing your goals & motivation, completing a PAR-Q (Pre Exercise Readiness Questionnaire) & Informed Consent Form, answering nutrition, exercise & lifestyle questions, other health checks such as blood pressure, postural assessment and flexibility assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q – Is my space suitable for Personal Training?
A – We recommend that your training area is large enough to move around and is free from any slip or trip hazards.

Q – What clothing should I wear for exercising?
A – Ideally you should wear comfortable and breathable sportswear.

Q – What should I eat or drink?
A – It’s best to fuel your body adequately before exercising. For example, don’t skip breakfast but don’t stuff yourself either! Be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout. After exercising you will probably feel hungry and may wish to refuel. Consuming enough protein is important to help repair the muscles after exercise.
